BLACK LIVES MATTER OAkland
Just one of the many Black Lives Matter protests that erupted across America after George Floyd's murder. I was very involved in this movement during that summer and also wrote a newspaper article on the effects of the protests and COVID-19 on the public housing community in my neighborhood. 
George Floyd's murder created a revolutionary wave of awareness and acceptance for Black people and other POC.

Evacuate santa cruz
In 2020, California experienced 9,639 wildfires due the effects climate change. Sadly, this is a new record. When the Santa Cruz fire hit, my girlfriend, Ella Gillmor, was living in an apartment there and we were forced to evacuate. This is the frantic story of her move out and a quick but sad goodbye.
