Nick Shadix is a young filmmaker from San Francisco who is based in NYC. He is currently employed at Reelarc, a production company that produces scenes for actors' demo reels. He graduated from the New School with a BA in Screen Studies and a minor in photography.
PROFESSIONAL WORK
Last Fall, Nick was an Associate Producer and Script Supervisor on Creep Box, directed by Patrick Biesemans. It's a sci-fi feature film that's premiering at festivals later this year. He was also Talia Lugacy's personal assistant and helped her with post-production for This Is Not A War Story (available on HBO Max) and with the pre-production for her next film. Recently, he was a Head PA for Tiger Ji's short film, "Death and Ramen," starring Bobby Lee and Matt Jones. He was also a PA at Blowback Productions and assisted with the post-production for Kevin Garnett: Anything is Possible (now streaming on Showtime).
PERSONAL PROJECTS
Aside from his professional experience with established filmmakers, he has directed many short films, documentaries, and music videos.
He created a documentary about the California wildfire experience, “Evacuate Santa Cruz,” which was nominated for Best Documentary Short at the San Francisco Indie Short Festival and at the Global Independent Film Festival. His most ambitious short film yet, "Thanks For Nothing" will be premiering at festivals this year. 
Beyond film, Nick is also a photographer that specializes in street, concert, and skate photography. His work has been published in youth magazines such as RAMBLER! Magazine and Couch Diaries. His series, "Salt and Sand" was showcased at The Monsta House Gallery in Bushwick, 2023. He shoots on film and digital.

Reelarc is a service that produces actors’ demo reels, we shoot 3-4 scenes a day, working with the director, crew, and client to create a scene that emphasizes the actor’s abilities.
On set duties: organize equipment, assist cinematographer with camera needs and rigging lights, dress the set (prod. design), take notes for director, general set up and breakdown.
